Conversations with a 2 year old

There are those times that you think, "My kid is so incredibly adorable and says the greatest things- I will never forget these moments."

I might think that for a millisecond, but then I quickly remember that I have a horrible memory (see?) and so if I am lucky, I will remember them long enough to write them down (long enough = a few minutes).

Anyway, here are a few adorable conversations David and I had in the car the other day. Don't worry...I waited until we got home to type them up!

M: When is your birthday, David?
D: My birthday is in June!
M: When is my birthday?
D: In September.
M: That's right! Do you know when daddy's birthday is?
D: Hmm let me see (pointer finger on chin)...I think maybe June.
M: (chuckling about finger and phrase he used) It's in February.
D: Oh yeah, Febooawy.

M: How old are you, David?
D: (smiling) Twenty-nine!
M: (wondering if he really knows how old he is) What?? Silly boy...how old are you really?
D: Two and a half
M: (surprised he added the half) That's right!

And here is an outdoor quote. I think he was trying out the phrase, "change your mind."

"Mommy the soccer ball is dirty. I think you need to change your mind. Instead we need the football."

What a character he is! I could hang out with him all day...with the exception of the times he is whining and screaming. Hmm....maybe I should change that to half a day:).

  1. Wow! David has grown a lot ever since I last saw him out here in Socal. Those are some very cute conversations. I love it when he said, "Oh yeah, Febooawy." So adorable. Well anyways, tell Lee hi for me Kaari. Talk to you later.

    Your cousin,
    Joshua :)
