Another Day with Two

We woke up to giggling and talking at 6:30am. Not too bad considering Z usually wakes up at 5:15 when she is home!

Miss Independent took off her night time diaper and changed into underwear all by herself after she was let out of the crib. They were both ready for breakfast and ready to start the day!

All I can say is that I am thankful for my helpful husband. Perhaps it is my age (I feel old!), but I am not sure how I did it alone with these two when he was traveling for weeks at a time. Nor do I understand how other moms (single or married) do it with more than one. They have my utmost respect.

We decorated some farm animal eggs, hid them, hunted for them, and ate them with some berries for snack!

Both kids were ready when it came for nap time, but I don't think either of them slept as long as they needed- or perhaps as long as Lee or I needed?

We spent the afternoon outdoors...hunting for more eggs, enjoying some jelly beans, playing on playgrounds, kicking balls around, and rushing to the bathroom when Z announced she had to go! She is fully potty trained and I am hoping it will rub off on David:).

Dinner was spent coaxing Z to eat her veggies by performing 'magic tricks.' It is AMAZING what will entertain toddlers. Who knew that making food disappear off of a fork by taking a bite was so exciting?? Well, at least it got her to eat all of her corn!

Z is spending a second night tonight. We are so happy to have her and glad that her grandmother can have a much needed break.

Today was such a gift and more than anything, I am reminded about how important it is to continue to pray for these little ones. Z is doing so well, but has experienced too much change in her short life. I pray that she continues to grow up feeling safe, secure, and loved.
