Air Care 1 International

Air Care 1 International was the Med Evac company we entrusted with Ashley's transport from Mexico to DC. The owner, Denise, and the team of professionals who cared for Ashley the entire trip were incredible. They all sacrificed so much of their time and themselves in keeping us informed of her status, keeping her safe and as comfortable as possible, and most importantly- as they would say in Texas..."Lovin' on her."

Denise spoke with us every half hour or so during the process and everyone became invested in precious Ashley. The nurse on board told us, "I have done this for a long time and it is rare for me to become emotional, but this little girl made me cry."

So tonight I received a call from Denise! She wanted to see how we were all doing. She shared that her staff was deeply touched by Ashley and still talk about her.

Air Care 1 International is unique in the way that they truly care about their patients and don't forget about them when their job is done.

Since December, I have had it on my heart to begin a fund to raise money for families who would like to use Air Care 1 International, but can't afford it (just like us). We were originally going to use Ashley's fund for this purpose, but it has been changed to an equally important cause of raising money to help foster children in the city of Alexandria.

If you could pray that God will somehow open doors for us to do this, I would appreciate it. God blessed us by providing a generous family to pay for Ashley's transport and without that...Ashley would never have received the care that she deserved before she passed away.

Here is the website for Air Care 1 International if you want to take a peak at it:
