This last one from today is my favorite of the bunch so I had to include it.
I still can't wrap my mind around how much he has grown. This week is bringing about a lot of changes for him and I'm trying to be a patient mommy as I give him an extra measure of hugs and kisses. I know that he misses his birth mommy (we saw her this past Friday), his big brother, and he is never very happy when daddy's away. I need to find a way to help him better process these events when they happen. Art therapy comes to mind...maybe a social story? This will be my goal for next month's visit!
Tomorrow David begins school. One minute he is excited to start and wants us to drive there right away and the next he is crying and saying he wants to stay home. I have everything set for tomorrow so that our morning routine is as relaxed as possible. Can a 5:15am wake up time be relaxed? Hmm...we'll find out!
After our trip to the pumpkin patch this afternoon, David informed me: "Mommy, after Z comes to visit us, I think we should have another little child stay with us in our house."
