Getting Married!

I called Jaqueline two nights ago and her boyfriend answered. In my limited Spanish I explained who I was and asked to speak with Jaqueline. This young man went on to explain in Spanish that he was "su esposo [her husband], novio [boyfriend]...tu comprendes [you understand]?" You bet I understood what those terms meant. I repeated "ESPOSO?" and explained, "No hablo mucho espanol. Lo siento. Puedes hablar con mi esposo?" and then ran to get Lee.

Well, it turns out that...Jaqueline is engaged! They are getting married in January. Wow- that was a shocker! Supposedly invitations will be on their way. I would really like to be able to be there to celebrate with her. It all depends on costs of tickets and whether or not I can convince a friend to join me:).

I didn't get the chance to speak with Jaqueline, but we'll call back again soon and hopefully she'll share more about this big news.

The month of October is important to her (and us) as is the month she is to be married (January). Ashley's would have turned two on October 29th and the anniversary of her death is January 8th.

We are praying that God blesses her relationship with this man and that they both grow closer to each other and Christ as they begin their marriage journey.
