Pumpkins, Paint, Puppets, and More!

Yesterday was a day filled with sun, pumpkins, friends, animals, slides, rocks, leaves...you name it. It was also a day without a nap and ended with David needing to use the bathroom multiples times due to an upset stomach. Needless to say, it was a full and exciting day! This afternoon he fell asleep listening to music and reading a book...that is a first for him and a confirmation for me that he is probably fighting off a virus of some sort.

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Leesburg Animal Park yesterday:

Both the pumpkin and David look huge in this picture!

Don't these slides look like fun? David could have spent the entire day climbing up and sliding down!

David took home a small pumpkin yesterday and decided he wanted to paint it today.
We brought it outside and David painted it blue like the ocean.

After waking up from his impromptu nap, David and I read a Bible story about The Lost Sheep. He was very curious about why that one sheep became lost. We talked about that for a while, made the connection that God is our shepherd and then broke out an old sock, some google eyes, and cotton balls to make a sheep puppet:).

Then we read a few more Bible stories that involved shepherds. David kindly read the story of Moses to me. He has been requesting this story every morning, but truly shocked me with how he knew ALL the words! I pray that he will always have a desire to hear and learn about God's word.
