I was trying to wait to post until later so that I could have pictures to share with you all, but I can't wait.
This afternoon we are going swimming with Z and her grandmother! David has been asking to see her and I have been missing her as well so this is perfect timing. It always is:).
I still can't believe that both she and David will be 5 years old by the time summer is over. Wasn't it just yesterday that they were toddling through our house- David running away with one of Z's toys, Z screaming bloody murder, and David smiling because he liked being chased? It feels like it was just yesterday.
Lee took the boys out to breakfast this morning to give me a little alone time. I wasn't in desperate need of it, but certainly won't complain- I am so blessed by my husband!
Anyway, after doing laundry, dishes, eating breakfast, and reading the Bible (all in a peacefully quiet house), I heard this ringing from my iPad. I really like my iPad, but am still not the most savvy user. Anyway, I checked it out and to my surprise...Z's grandmother was calling to do Face Time!
Have you ever done Face Time? It was pretty incredible....to see Z up close and personal...it was so much better than Skype and felt like we were in the same room together. She was disappointed that David wasn't around, but I reassured her that she would see him soon and that he would give her a big hug. She gave a huge smile and giggled. I don't know why, but it still amazes me at how connected she and David are with each other.
That Face Time was so precious, but it will never beat the real thing....can't wait to see her in person later today! My camera battery is charging so I will try to get some pictures to share:).
