Preparing

David and I spent this morning preparing for the little one who will join us this weekend. We boxed all of the 'too small' toys (aka choking hazards) and replaced them with safe toys.

David was such a help! He would ask, "Is this too small mommy?" and then promptly put some of his favorite cars and trucks into the bin. Of course, playing with big trucks made up for temporarily losing his small ones:).

Please pray that God helps us to comfort this little one while he is away from his familiar environment. We met him today and he seems like such a happy, easy-going toddler, but it is hard for any child to be in a new, strange place with people he doesn't know and who don't fully know him yet.

In addition to getting our place ready for a toddler, David played with his Auntie Holly and his Grandpa today!

Here is a picture of him with Grandpa during a game of chase with his emergency vehicles:

You can't see it, but both his shorts and underwear are on backwards...who am I to argue with the way he decides to dress himself? I'm just glad he did it without help!
