God is so good!
This morning I picked up Little D's dad and we went to his former daycare to play and say goodbye. Little D. totally GOT IT. Before we went in, he said to me, "Ms. K and Ms. D might be sad because they will miss me when I am in ____."
Wow. What a smart kid.
Anyway, his little friends were so excited to see him. They all played so nicely and Little D. had a great time. Before we left, he hugged and snuggled with Ms. D and she told him how much she loved him and would miss him. We talked about the invisible string and how our hearts are always connected. Little D. was appropriately quiet, but affectionate with her.
It was a really sweet goodbye.
We returned to our house where the little guy played with his dad, had his lunch, and then his dad put him down for his nap.
How I feel: Incredibly blessed and thankful that Little D. is processing this all in such a healthy way. A little hesitant about tomorrow because I know that things are going to be picking up speed soon. Praising God that our little guy's skin is AMAZINGLY clear. This is such a relief (for him and his dad and for us).
How the boys feel: They were with Lee most of the day, but are doing well so far.
How Little D. feels: He still is not sleeping well, but he is overall happy and cheerful. He got up from his rest this afternoon and talked about living with his dad forever and ever. He was excited about it. That makes me happy:).
