Lee was off from work so we were able to go to the airport to pick up Little D's father!
Little D was very excited to see him. We brought him to check into his hotel and then he came back to our home for play time, dinner, and then to see the whole bath and bedtime routine.
Everything went smoothly.
The language barrier is going to be tricky for the little guy. Thankfully, he is a boy and a lot of his play involves sound effects rather speech:). The playful/connection piece will be much easier, but our little guy tends to get easily frustrated when he is tired or hungry and so it is at those times that it will be the most difficult.
It was so good to have his dad here to see Little D in his element.
How I feel: Not too bad. It still doesn't seem real. I am thankful. Thankful that his transition is starting off this way. It is the way it should be.
How the boys feel: Anthony seems ok. David is sad and a lot more moody than usual.
How Little D feels: I have no idea, but it is two hours past his bedtime and he is still not sleeping so that might give you a little clue:).
Anyway, that is Day 1. I will try to write a little something each day.
