Glad I wrote those notes to myself yesterday...they were good reminders for today:).
Yeah for tight shirts!
------------------
Today was a very special day. We celebrated our first foster daughter's 5th birthday - just us and her grandma and mom. So special!
To see how happy she was...to see her with her family. What a blessing. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to love her and love them.
The boys had a blast celebrating. They played and Z gave David back a little bear that he had given to her during her last visit at our house. She wanted him to have it and he was excited to have it back:).
We ate a ton of cake and when the clock read a time that was past their bedtime, it was time to say goodbye.
Oh, but the bear...Z decided she didn't want it to go and David was not wanting to give it back. There were tears and David eventually felt bad enough that he handed her the bear. But then she felt bad and wanted him to have it back. What a dilemma!
We talked about taking turns with the bear...the whole custody issue was really starting to get out of hand:).
Eventually, we hugged and said goodbye...all three children crying.
Really, I don't think that the tears had anything at all to do with sharing the bear.
Goodbyes are just hard.
