Pirate Adventures & Daddy Time

David has been counting down the days until his Duck class field trip to Pirate Adventures. The fact that daddy was joining him made it that much more of a special day for him.

If I thought he was excited BEFORE the field trip...it was nothing compared to AFTER! That kid could not stop talking talking talking about it all. night. long. I'm surprised that he went to sleep with all of the excitement he was feeling. He told me, "Mommy, we used our imaginations and we found a treasure!!! Do you want some of my gold coins?"

Apparently, he slept on the car ride home and was ready to go as soon as they arrived. This afternoon, Lee took him out to play with his remote control car and to play some baseball.

Wish I could say that (A) and I also had a wonderful day together, but two hours of traffic this morning and over an hour to make it home wasn't quite as memorable as Lee and David's day! :)
