"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
I feel worn down.
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
I feel weak.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9
-----
Jaqueline, my far away daughter, is struggling. She is heartbroken, tired, and feels hopeless. I still find it strange sometimes...how protective I feel towards her. It is a God thing, I know it is. I love her. She is my daughter and always will be. I am her mom and I always will be. It probably seems strange to those who don't know the background...I mean there are only 10 years between us and we come from two very different worlds, but...well...it's a God thing.
Jaqueline's baby boy is due on September 21st. I'm glad that it is a boy. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel if it was a girl....if it looked like Ashley...I secretly didn't want anyone to replace her.
I hope to be there for his birth.
Please pray for her...that even though she feels so alone...that she knows and begins to feel that she is not and never will be alone.
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39
Thank you for your prayers.
