Pure Joy

I was gone all day today helping to plan a one day adoption workshop that will be facilitated by FamilyLife and hosted at our church, Cherrydale Baptist Church, in Arlington VA. We are almost ready to full out advertise for the event and I am excited!

Anyway, as I mentioned, I was gone all day to help plan this event and Lee stayed home with the boys. He did so much with them and even made dinner and let me work a little when I got home.

After dinner, I was hugging Lee and the boys both joined in. I looked down at their smiling faces...snuggling into us...pure joy!

Tonight as we said prayers together as a family, David and (A) each took their turn. David prayed for Jaqueline- that she would know that Ashley is safe with Jesus in heaven and (A) prayed for his mom and little brother. As we tucked them into their beds and I looked at each of their smiling faces I felt...pure joy!

I am such an incredibly blessed mom. And to think....if we had not responded to God's call for us to be foster and adoptive parents- we would have missed out BIG TIME!
