A Day With Three

I just have to say that I am still amazed that God has allowed us to stay in (Z)'s life....that after four years, I still get to snuggle with her, read to her, run my fingers through her curly hair as she falls asleep in my arms...it is simply amazing.

She arrived last night and as I approached the car, she ran screaming "KAAARIII" straight into my arms.

Today was a blast and I have some pictures without faces to share!

(A) was the doctor, (Z) was the nurse, and David was the patient.

Drawing faces on the pumpkin David picked out during his class field trip. It humors me to see how sweet he is with (Z). He does NOT like it when she cries and gives in to her to make her happy. They are like a married couple already!

We went to a farm this afternoon and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. It wasn't too crowded and it was packed with more activities than we had time for. We did our best, though. Here are the kids going down a tunnel slide. I think there were about six different slides and they spent a good hour sliding down and running up the hill to do it again. I hope they sleep well tonight:).

After the slides, we ventured over a bridge to make it to the hay rides that would take us to the pumpkin patch. Here is Lee with his pumpkin!

Then came dinner and after dinner....pony rides!

Finally was a ride on something I might call a bumpy cow tractor ride? Hmmm...not sure how to explain that one and I don't have any pictures without faces so you'll just have to use your own imagination. Don't worry- they weren't real cows.

We made it home safely and the kids bathed, showered, brushed teeth, and snuggled into bed. Ok, so the snuggling into bed part wasn't as easy as I would have thought given the level of activity from today, but they are currently all asleep so I consider that a success!
