Awesome & Relieved

Ok, bunk beds are awesome.

Too bad the boys need to sleep in them because I am pretty sure they are more comfortable than our bed!

They love them...especially (A).

My birthday was five days ago. It was a special day for a lot of reasons....it was the five year anniversary of David joining our family and exactly one year ago, Jaqueline's baby girl, Frida, was born on my birthday.
 
It had been too long since we had heard from Jaqueline. So my birthday wish was for Lee to call her:). Since my Spanish is horrible, I really needed him to be able to talk with her and find out how she is really doing.

We called. No answer.

The next day we called again. No answer.

I felt so unsettled. Wrote her emails and tried to wait patiently.

On Ashley's first birthday, she started showing the initial symptoms of her tumor...vomiting. Then a month later she had a seizure. That's when it all started.

I prayed for them both. Lee told me she would get in touch with us if something was wrong. I agreed, but it still didn't make it easier to wait.

Well, tonight she wrote!!! I cannot tell you how relieved I feel. She promised to send pictures of Frida soon. I think they are doing alright. Wish I was there, but for now...I am just thankful to know they are safe:).
