I cannot begin to imagine the deep sadness one must experience when they feel as though they have been abandoned by someone they love.
I want my children to fully embrace how much they are loved and valued....by all of the important people in their lives, but especially by their Heavenly Father.
It is hard, though, when important people disappoint...
If I could change things for (A)...I would. But I can't.
Today, on our way to school....during their typical imaginary animal play time....(A) revealed something to me through his play. That is usually the way it works, right?

(A): "David, I am a baby T-rex and I am lost from my mommy and daddy. Can I come live with your family?"
David: "But won't your mommy and daddy come looking for you?"
(A): "No they aren't looking. I want to be in your family."
Me: "Do you want us to help you find them? I bet they are really worried and want you to come home."
(A): "No they aren't worried and I want to be in your family."
David: "Ok, you can be my little brother. Here, let me show you where you can sleep."
