Were You Curious?

Maybe you were curious about how today went or maybe not. Either way, I thought I'd write a little about it.

Both boys were very excited to have their birth moms at soccer with them.

While I was too focused praying that the boys wouldn't have meltdowns, I am sure that both of their moms were deep in their own thoughts and perhaps trying to handle their own emotions.

I might guess that David's birth mom, in trying to connect with (A)'s mom....was in a way reliving her loss. I saw it in her eyes. (A)'s mom was probably thinking that she didn't want to be in the same position as David's birth mom. She separated from us and stood to the side.

The boys played soccer, returning to their birth moms during breaks, and for the most part were oblivious to the strong, underlying emotions of the day.
