David went to therapy with Lee tonight and (A) joined me in picking up a few things from the store. We bought some Valentine's Day stickers and picked up a couple of brightly colored pinwheels.
(A) was excited to show David what we had bought when he arrived home.
"One for me and one for you, David." he said.
David hesitated and looked quietly at the pinwheel (A) was holding toward him.
"Mommy, I want to give my pinwheel to Ashley. Can we give it to Ashley?"
You see, since Ashley passed away, it has been a tradition for us to put a pinwheel by her grave. This has always been David's job and he likes to make sure that she has one. Here he is...2 years old...giving her a pinwheel.
We'll have to make a point to let David bring her this new one.
