Are They Twins?

We get asked this a lot since the boys are only six months apart. Sometimes I simply answer, "nope" and other times I might give more details like ..."they are three and four" or "they are six months apart."

Yesterday we went out to lunch to celebrate David's birth mom's birthday. Lee was there too and was answering questions about our family to our waiter. They were speaking in Spanish and I just sat back and listened. Here is how it went:

Waiter: "Are they twins?"
Lee: "No, they are three and four"
Waiter: "Where are you from?"
Lee: "I'm from Mexico...his family is from El Salvador and his family is from Ecuador."
Waiter: "Are they brothers?"
Mommy N: "Yes, but not by blood. And they (pointing to me and Lee) are their parents and I am David's mom."

HAHAHA can you guess that we had one confused waiter on our hands?? I love embracing how unique our family is.

David and (A) had soccer camp this last week with a good friend from school. Sometimes it was really fun and cute watching them play and other times I had to purposefully look away. It is hard to watch your kids misbehave and not be able to do anything about it! The coaches were amazing. At the end, each player was given a certificate with a personalized note from the coach. We hope to do this again next year!

Next week is swim class...ready or not!
