Weekend Away

This weekend, Lee and I went away for the first time in about three years- it was wonderful! We attended a 'Weekend to Remember' through FamilyLife and all I can say is that if you are married and haven't already attended one of these...you should! This was our second time...the first being about three years ago:).

It was such a wonderful gift to spend such quality time with each other. It was interesting, during one of our 'project' times (couples were sent away to talk with each other, answer questions, and share/discuss answers), I indicated that one of my weaknesses was listening without being distracted. Lee had put this down as one of my strengths! What? He then explained that I was great at this as long as the boys weren't there to distract me haha...isn't that most of the time?

Anyway, it was a much needed break that helped us to re-connect and re-prioritize. God is good.

So while we were gone, my parents stayed with the boys. Oh, how I love my mom and dad! We will be forever grateful for the patience and love they showed those two little monsters:). And I can call them that because they were monsters for some of the time while we were away. Not all of the time, my mom would argue, but some of the time.

(Mom- our neighbors commented on how young and active you are! I completely agreed with them.)

I'm not sure if this is something sensory or if it is caused by anxiety, but (A) is chewing his nails so much that a few of them are almost completely gone! I have no idea what to do about this. Please share if you have any thoughts.

Oh, would you like a house update? Well, we had an offer on our place, but that didn't work out...we have two other potential offers, but those are also looking less likely. All in God's timing.

We did take a trip to the house that we are interested in so that my mom could see. Here is a picture of David taking advantage of an empty room:).

So now we are back at home and can't wait to continue this journey of growing closer to God, growing closer to each other, and blessing our children!
