Grieving

I need to write something about it because it is happening and I know I can't be in denial forever.

We are preparing to say goodbye over here.

It never gets easier.

The boys and I sat down today to read this book:

Excellent book. I highly recommend it. We'll be reading it many times and hopefully dive deeper into how they are feeling. 

Then we re-read the book they wrote together when Baby C left. 

Finally, we made a new book about Little D's time with us so that they can read it when they are missing him or trying to process this new loss. 

Now I just need to find them all matching stuffed animals...I have an idea of what might work. We'll see. 

For the little guy, I have a small photo album. In it, I will put pictures of him in his new home...where he will eat, where he will play, where he will sleep and bathe...you get the idea. We'll read that about a day or two before we say goodbye. 

Praying hard for the protection of all our hearts, but especially Little D.  I am waiting expectantly to see how God can be glorified through this. I'm already seeing small glimpses...I promise to share about it all soon.
