How?

As I put our first load of laundry into the wash, finished up the dishes, made David's healthy lunch for school tomorrow, cleaned the stove, wiped down the table, and walked over to the living room, I wondered....

How in the world do families with more than three children do it?

Then I looked at the clock and realized it was only 8:30pm. Not a bad start to the night...my last load of laundry should be done sometime before midnight:).

Things are going well here considering. David loves his new school. Anthony and I have been getting a little homeschooling done, although not as much as he would like. He's struggling emotionally and it is really hard to see...especially because I don't know how to make it better.

Little D is a sweetheart and very spunky. The dynamics between the three almost make me want a fourth because of how the big boys compete for the little guy's attention. Don't worry - that isn't going to happen any time soon!

Overall, God is teaching me how to surrender all of my children to Him...reminding me that only He can heal those deep hurts that they feel.

I do need to have a conversation with Anthony tomorrow, though. I want to talk with him about how the little guy's visits with family are affecting him. Poor kid...this is really hard for him and he didn't ask for it. In fact, he specifically said that he only wanted to adopt. He doesn't want another goodbye.

Here we are, though, trusting that God has good plans for each of us and doing our best to wait patiently to see what might be in the future for Little D.
