It truly was the one of the best decisions we have made for him.
I also want to add that as I reflect on past years, I am so thankful for how each one helped prepare us both for this year. God's timing on this was perfect. Because of his former teachers at The River School, Anthony has this wonderful passion for learning. They helped to instill in him a great love of reading and encouraged his creativity. Anthony is a joy to teach because he was given such a strong foundation. Those years were also important because they gave us time and access to professionals who helped us figure out how to best support him.
I'm also not sure I would have had the patience to teach him prior to this year:).
Anyway...as we near the end of our first homeschool year, I just want to praise God for the healing that we see taking place in Anthony. We know that this is a journey we are joining him on and so we certainly don't expect perfection, but we do see great progress and are so grateful for that gift!
