A while ago I worried about (A) because I could sense that he felt conflicted when we were all together. At times he would intentionally avoid his birth mom and other times he would stay exclusively with her.
Since his mom made the decision for us to adopt our precious son, I have been praying that our visits all together as a family would help him realize that we are ALL on the same team...his team. I was praying that he would feel how loved he was by all of the important people in his life.
So tonight, I listened to him leave a voice mail for his Mommy A:
"Hi mommy, I love you. I'll see you tomorrow. Today I went on a field trip to the mail box and I mailed a letter to my mommy and daddy, but I am not gonna tell them because it is a surprise. I love you. Hugs and Kisses! Bye!"
I couldn't stop smiling and thanking God for how confident and secure he has become...
Only two more days until we are legally a family forever!!
