(A): "Mommy, when I grow up you are still gonna be my mommy and daddy will still be my daddy. My kids will call you grandma and they will call daddy grandpa."
Me: "Yes, (A), that's right."
(A): "And when I am a daddy we are going to have a dog and a cat and a little girl named...um...Kim."
Me: "Wow, you have this all planned out. Who are you going to marry and have a family with?"
(A): [named friend from school]

I had a feeling he might have had a little help figuring all the details out. Who knew five year old girls were so serious about their future?? And who knew my five year old boy would go along with it!
