Boys

I love my boys dearly. The whining...not so much, but the boys- very much.

I enjoy their laughter. Their 'I'm getting into trouble laughter'...not so much, but their genuine laughter- very much.

I cherish their hugs.

I could do without the tantrums.

I marvel at their creativity.

Could do without the newly acquired 'bad guy' play.

They are my boys...and while their energy exhausts me at times...I am thrilled to be their mom and can't wait to see how God shapes their lives.

On a more serious note, I talked to (A) about his mom, our family, and the future.  His language is improving and I know that he is capable of understanding more abstract concepts. On our way to his visit, I told him, "Mommy lives ___ and while mommy lives there, you will live with me, daddy, and David. You will be a part of our family. When mommy lives ___, you might go back to live with her." I know he didn't grasp it all and I know we have 9 more months, but I want to be able to start preparing him little by little because he has to have questions that he isn't able to express.

I'm preparing him, but also preparing myself because...well, he's one of my boys and I love him dearly.
