Other Teachers

You know when your kids come home and tell you something exciting they have learned at school? They go on and on and it is fun asking them questions and hearing about how they learned new facts.

Well, when you are their teacher, that just doesn't happen as often. Sure, you have great conversations about what they are learning, but you pretty much know everything and so you have to rely on others to ask your kids about school.

This school year, I have been blessed by how many OTHER teachers my boys have.

The past few weeks, on Mondays, my amazingly awesome former homeschooling friend came over and taught my boys how to do origami and make clay animals. They loved it and we are almost running out of places to put their creations:).

On Monday nights, they have their Bible Study Fellowship teachers. The three of us go to Bible Study together (we are studying the book of Revelation) from about 7-9pm. It is late for them, but you should see their energy and enthusiasm!

David told me last week, "Thank you SO much for bringing me here, mom, I love it!"

We even get to spend time with our neighbor's daughter a couple times a week and she brought over her violin to show the boys! How awesome is that?

Thursdays we participate in a homeschool co-op where the boys take four different classes and always come to me with exciting facts they learn about in science.

Anyway, I just wanted to acknowledge the many other teachers in boys' lives and express my deepest gratitude!
